I've had some amazing pain and nausea this week. Sometimes we may think that what we're going through is bad, and then when it gets worse, the bad doesn't seem so bad any more. There are so many levels of opposition. It's like a video game--when you pass one level, you get to move to the next, and then the next. The higher you go, the better you get at it--and the more points you get!!

Last night I was feeling like I was done. Done with all the medications, done with feeling pain and yuck and nausea. I'm just a wimp when it comes to these things. I know it can get much worse--but I was feeling like I had hit my limit.

For inspiration I opened my trusty little book, "Stand A Little Taller" by Gordon B. Hinckley. It said:

I know there are a lot of us who are going through major struggles. Hopefully this encourages you like it did me!

Sorry it's been a little rocky. I too agree with the book. Don't Quit. We love ya and we're praying for you several times a day at our house.

What an awesome page. I love that scripture. Thanks for sharing, I needed it.

I think of you often, and I will keep praying for you and your family. You are strong, you are awesome. I find strength in reading your posts. I am lucky to have been in your ward while you were relief society president. Thanks for always being a great example.

I love your analogy with life and the video game . . . laughter being the best medicine, it was very good for me today. High level bonuses and extra points for you, my dear. What I've been learning the most during these last months is how much I love my children. We have all been struggling to gain our footing. It has often seemed that just when we are feeling a little (and I mean the tiniest bit) comfortable - a big proverbial rock will land on one of us (for example, T & E both lost their best friends recently). Still, the Lord has watched over the kids and me so lovingly. It's amazing. When I have needed spiritual rest from the struggles, I've had the sweetest most comforting dreams. I hope that He will give you the peace and comfort which will be sweetest to you. Love you Jenn!
